The women of Wisteria Lane are gearing up for the upcoming season of the Desperate Housewives.
Last season, Eddie Britt had left, Susan had a new man in her life, and Gabrielle is a mother. Since, Eve Longoria (Gabrielle Solis in Desperate Housewives) seems to be gaining weight and getting thick in the tummy, she is said to be preparing for her upcoming role for the new season (Whatever you say dear). According to sources, the new season will take place 5 years in the future.
During the ABC Television Critics Association presentation last July, Teri Hatcher, who plays the role of Susan Myers, said that:
“The best thing about it is, it just gives this whole wealth of opportunity for new story lines. There’s action there’s violence, there’s $ex.”
Unfortunately, we’ll be taking a peek on Wisteria Lane for maybe only a few more years to come. According to the creator and executive producer of “Desperate Housewives”, Marc Cherry, he plans to end the ABC series after seven seasons. He also told the Associate Press that:
“We’re going to get out while people still like us.” “Of course, this could be some clever ruse on my part to get tremendous amounts of money in season eight, but who knows.”
Calling it quits while you’re still hot is a good strategy. No one likes a loser in Hollywood and it is not great to exit as a loser. Nobody might even notice your exit anyway if that’s the case.
