Dr Dre’s Son Found Dead At Home
The son of rapper-producer Dr. Dre was found dead in his Woodland Hills, California home. His son, Andre Romelle Young Jr. was 20 years old.
Authorities said that Young Jr. was found unresponsive by his mother in his bed at around 10:30 a.m. Saturday after a night out with friends. His mother attempted to rouse him, but when he didn’t respond she called paramedics. After their efforts to revive him failed, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy was conducted on Andre’s body but the cause of death has not yet been determined, pending the results of a toxicology report, according to a representative for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
Lori Earl, a spokesperson for Dr. Dre said, “Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son Andre Young Jr. Please respect his family’s grief and privacy at this time.”
